Date submitted : Thursday 27th Mar 2008 By : QPRJags When visited Emirates Stadium : March 2008 Event : Brazil v Sweden Comments : Comments : We decided to get down the Emirates for the Brazil v Sweden Friendly. I had been dying to visit the new Arsenal ground and was not disspointed in any way.
Firstly it is a bit annoying that you have to be there at least 1 hour before the Kick Off to get in the car park, and I did think it a bit weird that you get stopped half way in while the police (including sniffer dogs!) check the car. However once you finally get into the stadium and are allocated your parking space the stewards are amoungst the most friendly and helpful you can encounter.
The car park has access to loads of lifts and as we were sitting in the upper tier we when up to the 3rd floor. On exiting the lift you are blessed with a quite stunning view of the stadium and pitch.
There are loads of Food Kiosk's offering all kinds of food from Fish and Chips to Burgers, Pies and Chicken, all of which is cooked behind the serving counter....not dodgy pies saved from the last home game here!. They even have tables that you can use if you are in a wheelchair!.
The seating is well organised, the wheelchair area we sat in was spacious and provided a superb view.
As I said the stewards are first class, even when we struggled with a door back to the car park, a passing steward stopped, came backand held the door open for us.
In all the Emirates is like an international stadium that has retained the personality of a club stadium. When they designed it and decided how to manage it, they really did think of the fans and put a lot of thought in to how a stadium should be and what fans want.
I never thought I would say I wish I was a gooner....but having that place as a home ground must be amazing. Well done Arsenal.....now if you could just relocate away from the awful London traffic it would be perfect.
Overall the best stadium I have visited and I can't wait for my beloved QPR to get back into the premiership so I can go back there.

Ive been going to Arsenal now for near on 20 years, and never have I enjoyed football like I'm going this season! I'm in club level disabled area and its so fantastic! I get free beer at half time and have lovely screens to go and sit and watch the highlights in! Lovely decor on the walls music playing in the disabled loo! ITS FANTASTIC! and what is more Mr Lucas the guy from Little Britain sits near us! ITS FANTASTIC! THANKS ARSENAL!!
(PLEASE NOTE GARETH IS IN CLUB LEVEL FREE BEER IS NOT ON THE MENU AT OTHER PLACES)
Date submitted : Sunday 20th Aug 2006 By : gunneronwheels When visited Emirates Stadium : 19 Aug 2006 Event : versus Aston Villa Comments : Comments : My place ( lower side)has perfect view of pitch even if those in front stand up. Not so I believe in upper tiers but stewards and fans are getting it sorted out between them apparently.
Parking in stadium is great but you cannot leave until OK from Police around 1 hour after game !! These spaces have to be booked at least 5 days before each match at present, FREE, unlike admisssion as the days of free entry are ended.
Concessions have a lowered counter section, very many all around concourses ,not cheapest around though.
Excellent (and many) toilets for disabled
Upper tier positions are all in corners and behind goals, same at Club level (for the rich folk!).Only at lower level are some spaces along side, at back of enclosures.
Eight lifts to all levels. Main level entry to stadium is via Clock End bridge at south end of Drayton Park
Date submitted : Friday 12th Nov 2004 By : Gunner on Wheels When visited Emirates Stadium : 2nd home Event : versus Comments : Comments :
Regarding Trevor's comments about rain, if you do forget your raingear, there is an emergency issue of bin liners. Don't laugh, they are huge, strong and adequately solve the immediate problem
Date submitted : Monday 1st Nov 2004 By : Andy Mather When visited Emirates Stadium : Saturday 30th Oct 2004 Event : versus Southampton Comments : The stewards are very helpful. The away disabled fans area is with the seating for able-bodied (especially if your team take the full entitlemement), so you feel part of the away crowd. The disabled loo is nearby, but the fact that you have to go through 2 doors (at right angles to each other) may make it hard if you haven't got a helper or the wheelchair is long. The roads around Highbury are hilly and steep, including the road where the disabled entrance is (Avenell Road), so a strong helper may be advisable.
Date submitted : Saturday 27th Mar 2004 By : Irvin Morris When visited Emirates Stadium : Saturday 20th March 2004 Event : Bolton Wanderers Comments : Facilities for both Home and Away Fans are in the Open. Therefore take warm and weatherproof clothing in Winter months as none is provided by Host Club? Deaf, Hard of hearing and blind have better service under cover in separate area in North Bank Stand.
Date submitted : Monday 1st Dec 2003 By : Trevor When visited Emirates Stadium : November 2003 Event : Fulham Comments : You can park in Conewood Street right by the ground, but ensure that you display your blue badges as restrictions apply on match days, normally a policeman on duty to advise you.As for the ground, take a raincoat as a precaution as away fans are exposed to the elements also the view to the your left is poor as the crowd stand up next to you. Good plus though is that you get a free programme on admission.
