Date submitted : Tuesday 17th May 2005 By : Canary on Wheels When visited Craven Cottage, Stevenage Rd, Fulham : May 2005 Event : versus Norwich Comments : Comments : Arrived by coach, set down close to ground. Access to pricey refreshments good once you are up a rather steep slope, one disabled portaloo near disabled area. Found view quite good in the river end corner of the Putney Stand. Nice not be obstructed by any other fans in front standing.
We fitted in 6 wheelchairs, but 3 were electrics. Stewarding was friendly and it was party time up to first half hour !
Escape was difficult as traffic in Fulham Palace Road was diabolical.Pal travelling by car parked in school near ground, again no problems getting there, murder leaving. Location of ground means it can never get better
Date submitted : Monday 25th Oct 2004 By : Pete When visited Craven Cottage, Stevenage Rd, Fulham : 10/04 Event : Liverpool Comments : The Fulham are back at the Cottage - Hooray. Away fans now get allocated 7 wheelchair positions opposed to the measley 1 position at loftus Rd (as mentioned by the bluenose below).
Disabled area is an elevated postion right next to your own set of away supporters offering a good view of all the pitch. Stewards are some of the meanest looking geezers i've seen this season but really friendly with it.
Nice one Mr Al Fayed - how about some Harrods grub at half time?
Date submitted : Monday 11th Aug 2003 By : Mark Wilson When visited Craven Cottage, Stevenage Rd, Fulham : A long time ago for QPR games.... Event : Everton Comments : Comments : What can you say ? Fulham offered Everton just ONE disabled area ticket in season 0203...exactly how the club feel this is justified is beyond me.....no doubt "safety" rules will emerge somewhere, or something about Nationwide League ground standards etc etc.....Fulham at the Cottage had superb stewards and a reasonable touchline (covered) view for away fans....Fulham at Loftus Rd....no comparison and disabled supporter groups need to look very closely at how, in this age of DRC and DDA, Fulham can be allowed to leave away disabled fans with just ONE ticket ? Lets hope it changes for 0304.
NIL POINTS......AS TERRY WOGAN MIGHT SAY...
Date submitted : Monday 17th Feb 2003 By : Martin Riley When visited Craven Cottage, Stevenage Rd, Fulham : Feb 2003 Event : versus Burnley Comments : Once again on our travels with Burnley. Parking and getting away from the ground if you were going up the A40 was excellent. But the view on the ground was not very good. Placed in one corner right by the corner flag. Reasonable view of one end but not the other.
Nice and friendly people looking after the disabled spectators. One plus was the nice Harrods blankets which were passed round. Marks 6 out of 10.
