Traffic queue to get to ground was unusual, I was not late. Eventually got to car park at fitness club right by disabled entrance in North stand where I was relieved of £5 View was OK as I was lucky to have understanding (i.e. not standing) folk in row in front. Yet again, the height differential not enough between wheelchair area and rows in front.
Very helpful stewards, but no banners allowed. A complete nightmare leaving stadium, over an hour for first 1 1/2 miles. Might be an idea to book a meal at Red Robin after game and then escape to M6 when all rest have gone.
I saw at least two disabled toilets in North stand. Concourse was crowded and difficult to transit, but hey, that's what football is about

Would like to comment on the stewards who were very friendly and helpful, my husband who has trouble with stairs managed to get down with my help to the front row but with the crowds getting out I asked for help and they assisted us along the front and out a side entrance, even opening an entrance where there was three disabled toilets. Thanks once again and well done.

First visit to the JJB.Went on the train which was a bus, which was a taxi (engineering work closed line and can't get on coach). Two pubs nearby, the Red Robin was a steak house about 5 mins from ground located on a retail park with lots of food places. It was big too, so shouldn't get full. Away fans without colours are OK.
Level acess to ground. One downer was no taxi will go near ground till at least hour after game but its a fairly easy 15 min push back to station.
Ground view in with away fans good, view half way up stand. Toilets new and great, close by wheelchair section. An 8 out of ten

Comments :Took my son who is in a wheelchair to the JJB stadium yesterday. Everything ok good view, being on a elevated platform is always better than being at ground level. Just the same old problem at Wigan regards the amount of time it takes you to get away from the ground.

Parking. Beware of car thieves. We were warned that the previous evening, during a rugby leaue match, versus St Helen's, 8 cars were broken into. On the day, our car was safe. But, as previously reported, the car park IS some distance from the ground, in a remote area. Ideal for those who make a living from dishonest means. Dark, too, I would imagine, for evening games!
We weren't allowed to set down near the entrance, but were allowed into the 'forbidden' area to pick up.
Walking disabled, beware. If you follow the others, you will end up confronted with a steep bank to climb. Best follow the advice of the stewards!
There is a lift to take you up up to the away disabled supporters platform (WITH your own supporters, albeit out on a limb). But, the lift broke down before the end of the game. So stewards were called upon to carry chairs down the stairs. Stairs, by the way, that aren't too steep. And, if you are prepared to wait until the rush to leave is over, easy to navigate.
I only saw one disabled toilet. Meaning a queue before the journey home.
Facilities for refreshments don't take into account the problems of ambulant disabled. The queue was so long we gave up trying to stand in line.
Stewards were helpful, even if they are more rugny league inclined. Police, humourless but approachable.
One word of advice. Take something to wrap up warm in. The wind is biting, and uninterrupted, with no corner infills to protect you.
As for views, well, there were only 9000 there when we played (over 1000 of us), so the ground wasn't full enough to mean people standing in front of the wheelcahir platform. Although it looked as if the seperation between rows just might avoid this problem.

Wigan should be reported for allowing disabled fans no chance of dropping someone close to the disabled entrance We attended after seeking advice about parking close to the entrance. My father in law has very severe walking problems and we needed to drop him as close as possible. After being sent to 2 other parking bays we were eventually told to park on car park no 5, far too long for any disabled fan to manage to the entrance, so please keep this in mind should you decide to visit and do not take notice of information from the office.

Great stadium well laid out.
When parking use the right hand corner of the car park, as this is close to the entrance to the away stand.
Verdict 10/10
