Wheelchair Accessible Coach Service Introduced
In August 2004 the Club was delighted be able to provide, for the fist time, a wheelchair accessible coach service for disabled supporters wishing to join the army of travelling Canary fans.
Customer Services Manager Richard Gough said he became aware of the demand for this service following a consultation meeting at Carrow Road in March 2004.
He said: "Several disabled supporters raised the issue of travelling to away matches and whether the Club could provide a suitable service.
Several suppliers and vehicle types were considered with a 24-seat executive coach complete with hydraulic tail-lift, full medical facilities and first aid trained drivers looking like the best option.
"Having sourced what seemed to be a suitable vehicle from Rendezvous Travel, disabled supporters were invited to Carrow Road to see for themselves. The positive feedback on the day allowed for the contract to be signed, the service now operates successfully for each away match"
Any supporter wishing to use the service should call the ticket office on 0870 444 1902 to check for availability.
